Volkswagen reveals its latest I.D. Buzz Concept, another electrified bus designed to be hip and friendly to the environment. Summon the millenial hippies!
Although the V6 has been the main joke for the famous muscle car for many years, it has established itself as a worthy performer with many changes over time. 3.7L V6 resigns, its rated power at an initial power of 300 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque. The current 2.3L EcoBoost Turbo-Four produces 310 horsepower more. and 320 Nm of torque, which makes the V6 obsolete. Although we still knew this when version 2.3L appeared.
Another one? Uhm, ok. What’s different about it?
Volkswagen I.D. Buzz Concept is another step towards “electric mobility”. But not only I.D. Buzz showcases the latest VW drive technology. It also features some car driving technology so that residents within I.D. Buzz can also enjoy its spacious interior.
What powers it?
Electric drive system in I.D. Buzz consists of two electric motors (one for each axis) to implement all-wheel drive. Together they produce 369 horsepower with juice powered from a single 111 kWh battery. The result is 0-60 times in just five seconds and a top speed of 99 mph. Thanks to the latest fast charging technology, the battery can be charged up to 80 percent in just 30 minutes.
Volkswagen also developed a modular drive system, or MEB (Modular Electric Drive). This means that the system in I.D. Buzz can be easily manufactured as a rear-wheel drive model.
What else is cool about it?
I.D. Buzz also comes with a list of autonomous driving technologies. If drivers use I.D. Self Driving Features Buzz, I.D. The Buzz Pilot system also moves the driver’s seat forward.
